Volunteers for Spring Workbee--Thanks

House In The Wood DEPENDS on its volunteers to get things done. We have many volunteers helping us. We have two weekend workbees open to anyone--one in Spring and one in Fall. We have a monthly workday from 9am to noon on the third Tuesday of the month between April and October open to anyone. We also have work groups or individuals that make special arrangements to volunteer. These are usually school groups looking for community service hours and a little bit of outdoor recreation too. We also have individuals that can't make our scheduled work days and make special arrangements to help us at other times.

A GREAT BIG thank you to our most recent volunteers at the Spring Workbee the weekend of June 1-3.

Maura and Beth, her Mom paint the Vittum Lodge door.

The Chicago Board and friends paint a mini cabin.
The Chicago Board is one of my most loyal volunteer groups!

AmeriCorps Members from the Settlement's Project Yes!
put in extra hours volunteering at camp painting a cabin.
Also volunteering this weekend were Jenni and Peggy.
They were teaching an outdoor ed group.
The goal is to finish painting ALL of the outside of camp this year. We have made a good start on the painting that needs doing. We still have a few cabins and all of our bigger buildings to do. Our Fall Workbee is scheduled for September 7-9. join us!

Thanks again to our Spring Workbee volunteers. And a VERY BIG THANKS to our master gardeners, Carol, Dave, Mary and Kathy who maintain all of our gardens at House In The Wood.
