The Chicago Board Volunteers. They Paint and Paint!

The Northwestern Settlement Chicago Board came to House In the Wood to VOLUNTEER for the weekend of April 14 and 15. They started painting on Saturday and finished the two bathrooms in Vittum Lodge--our big meeting center. And then, since they still had a little time before supper--they started to paint the outside of our Brown Bats mini-cabin.

That night they enjoyed a campfire. They were going to make s'mores but...Terry fed everyone too well at supper and they didn't have any more room. Not even for s'mores!

On Sunday, they started again but THUNDERSTORMS prevented them from finishing the outside of the mini cabins. So they painted the inside of the administration office--the kitchen, bathroom and hallway.

It sure does look good!
Thank you so much for coming to help us get ready for our scholars in May.
