Every morning at summer camp a different cabin group puts up and takes down the flag. We also have another group that does the weather and we say our thank you's to each other--also known as "passing the bird" as we pass around a stuffed animal and as it is handed to each person they say hello and their thank you.
During summer camp staff training, each staff member gets a chance to put up and take down the flag so that they can teach their campers when it is the cabins' turn to do it in the morning.
