Our Driveway Rocks

I think rocks are so interesting. I love the colors and the way they sparkle in the sunlight. These are the rocks from our driveway at House In The Wood. You can make a really great rock collection just by looking at the rocks in the driveway.

Many of the multicolored rocks have traveled great distances as they were brought here by the glaciers (mile high sheets of ice) and dumped all over Wisconsin. In fact, House In The Wood sits on over 250ft (about 20 stories high) of "glacial debris" which is the rocks drops by the glacier as the ice melted tens of thousands of years ago.
